March Volunteer of the Month
Celia Vander Vorste
Celia moved here from
South Dakota in the year 2000. One year later she started volunteering her time at the Bismarck Senior
Center. She has served on the Advisory Committee and presently is a coffee server at the noon congregate
meal. Celia is known for her generosity and support of the center, no matter what goes on!
She’s our “Party Girl”
and says you’re never too old for it! Celia says the best part of coming to the Senior Center is
the PEOPLE. She said it helped her get out and get acquainted with everyone. She has
made some great friends and has lost a lot of good friends over the years while coming to the center. Thank
you to a FUN gal.
We enjoy having
you as a volunteer!
Make It Happen!
The key to our success rests in our volunteers, who embody the spirit of greatness by saying,
"Yes I can, and so can you!"
Thank you so much for your hard work.
We never could have asked for more dedicated volunteers,
and we cannot
express how grateful we are to have you here!!!
The Bismarck Senior
Center has a variety of volunteer opportunities available. These opportunities include:
All volunteers are coordinated through RSVP+ Central ND. RSVP+ Central ND is made up of volunteers serving seven North Dakota counties: Burleigh, Morton, Mercer,
Grant, Emmons, Oliver, and Sioux. Over 1,100 volunteers give their time at nearly 200 host station locations. For
